Dark & Long

The track of the day so far is Dark & Long by Underworld.

Having an iPod on random is a double-edged sword. Most of the time you end up skipping tracks, cos you've got at whole album of fillers with only one or two stand out tracks. Now and again though, a real winner crops up when you don't expect it. Dark & Long is remarkable for a couple of reasons. Firstly, cos it's the return of Underworld after their strange electro-pop of the mid 80s. Although I kind of like Underneath The Radar, it's a world away from what they are known for. Dark & Long brought them to the dance audience in a big way as the opening track of arguably their best album, dubnobasswithmyheadman. It is also the best track on that album and never fails to get me working like a demon or walking/running in time with the insanely addictive beat.

Life in spoonofmilksville is much the same as always... last night I had a strange dream of walking through a field of sheep, taking photos. Except the sheep weren't sheep... they were Weimaraners. Not many of you will know it, but I love Weimaraner dogs and so I take this as meaning I must have one... and soon. In particular, I want my friend Sarah's dog Toby.

This week marks the last two working days for over a week as Megan and I have a week off to do many things... we are going to London to miss the Chelsea vs Man United match (bugger), visiting her friends in Portsmouth and going for meals at various times, bought by respective parents, to celebrate our birthdays. So all in all, it should be a good week. Check back next week for photographic evidence of our trip to the Big Smoke.
