County Hall Picnic

Some of my fellow county council colleagues are having a picnic outside their office. For the past ten minutes we have been watching them jump out of their window and lay out their lunch.

Coronary Sandwich

This here is a bacon, sausage and egg roll from the golf club kitchen. It costs £2.55 and uses locally sourced produce. Now, a mate who owns a pub nearby had a hog roast at the weekend and was charging £6.50 for a small pork filled roll. I point him to this picture to show what value for money is and how not to take the piss. He also charges £2.10 for a pint of coke. Another mate owns the company that makes the mixers for pubs and knows that the cost price of a pint of coke is 40p. Disgraceful.

This Week's Rant

Traffic. It's a pain in the arse wherever you are... but what really winds me up is when you're in a slow line of traffic heading through town and you stop to let someone enter the line ahead of you from a side road and the dozy muppets sit there looking the wrong bloody way, making you look a muppet and enraging those behind. I give them about 3 seconds now, before I drive past them muttering and shaking my head so they get the point.
